Painting the Rock

 We are looking for student volunteers to paint the Spirit rocks.  The big rock needs to be painted orange and say "Happy Fall". Students are responsible for buying their own supplies. A drawing of your plan will be submitted to Mrs. Tucker for approval prior to painting. Student will receive 4 service hours for painting the large rock. The small rock can be painted orange to look like a pumpkin (not Jack-o-lantern) so that it can stay all fall. Students are responsible for buying their own supplies. High Point Big Sweep

We would love for you to join us to work together to remove litter from roadways, waterways, lakes, parks, school campuses and the Greenway.   We will meet at Pinnacle Financial, located at 1585 N. University Parkway on Saturday, Oct. 7, and the event will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Krispy Kreme doughnuts are available to all volunteers in the morning and we will have Little Caesars Pizza for lunch. All cleanup supplies will be provided! All volunteers automatically earn one ticket into the prize drawing.   We will once again be collecting non-perishable food items to donate to a local food pantry in High Point. Each item donated will earn the donor an additional ticket into the prize drawing to possibly win a $100 Visa gift card courtesy of Blue Ridge Companies or a $50 restaurant gift card courtesy of Leggett & Platt, Inc.   To register, please visit   www.highpointnc.gov/bigsweep .

Breakfast is at 9:30am, Lunch is at 12, and Dinner is at 6pm. We welcome you all at any time. Our other projects may be helping sort donations, cleaning facilities, painting, talking to guests and encouraging students to understand their impact in the community.
