NCLA Garden Cleanup

  The Garden Team needs help tending to the Garden/Pond area this fall as we completely redo our space. We will not be planting but we will be pulling out, cleaning and cutting back bushes. Most of our times will consist of pulling weeds and we will help the school and Keep NCLA Beautiful by cleaning up trash. Bring your water, gloves (if you want), close toe-shoes and weather appropriate clothing each time you volunteer.  Make sure you bring your Service Learning form to be signed THAT DAY. Roadway Cleanup at Ivey Redmon and Philips Parks--August 17

PTFC/CCFC Youth has partnered with Keep High Point Beautiful and Kernersville Beautification to adopt Old Plank Rd in High Point and Beeson Road in Kernersville. We will be doing litter pick up at both locations on August 17th from 9-11am.  If you are a parent/guardian or player in our club (or just want to help) we encourage you to use this as an opportunity to put our motto into action and "Be More Than A Player". If you have friends outside the club that need volunteer hours, they are encouraged to come help as well.  We will provide gloves, bags, etc just bring yourself. Persons under the age of 18 must have a parent sign a liability waiver. Kids under the age of 15 must have parents stay with them to volunteer.  Students who need volunteer hours for schools or clubs are encouraged to bring papers to be signed on the day of!  Make sure to bring water and wear close-toed shoes. Kernersville Little League is hosting the North Carolina District 2 Little League (10-12) and Intermediate baseball Allstars tournaments in the next few weekends and we need YOUR help with field prep and clean up! Cassell Memorial House cleanup--June 10 and 11 at 9am

Fourth of July Parade Litter Pickup--July 4

  Fourth of July Parade Litter Pick Up!   Have you ever been to a parade and noticed how messy the roads are after it is all over? Town staff work hard to clean the roads after the parade. Why not do a little during the parade? Come help the Town of Kernersville clean up during the 4th of July Parade! We will have multiple Public Services Employees walking behind our orange Litter Patrol vehicle. To participate, we have a few rules:   Please print and fill out the Volunteer Waiver form provided on the volunteer sign up page, and remember to bring it with you to the parade. Volunteers may not participate without a completed form. Participants under the age of 18 need a parent or guardian for the duration of the parade who will also need to fill out the form. Please only one guardian per family (unless necessary) to accommodate as many children as possible.    All volunteers need to meet behind Kernersville Elementary School by 8:00 AM. Town of Kernersville Litter Cleanup--June 17-June 24

  The Public Services Department is excited to provide this great opportunity to volunteer this summer. Sign up for our June 2024 Summer Litter Pick Up!   For this event, there are 3 areas where we are focusing: Gralin St, Hopkins Rd, and Teague Ln. You can pick up your supplies (safety vest, gloves, bags, pickers) at 509 Michael St. from June 17th to June 24th. Find an area nearby that needs cleaning up, and we will come pick up the collected trash at designated spots (Pink and Yellow signs) on June 27th.   You can sign up at https://www.signupgenius.com/.../9040D45A9AB28A4F94...   Don’t forget to fill out a volunteer waiver form provided on the link. We need volunteers to pick up trash on the side of the road on April 27 from 10am-12pm. High Point Big Sweep Litter cleanup- October 1

  Please join us for the 2022 High Point Big Sweep!   This year is the 34 th High Point Big Sweep litter cleanup event, and we will be working together to remove litter from roadways, waterways, lakes, parks, school campuses and the Greenway.   We will meet at Pinnacle Financial, located at 1585 N. University Parkway on Saturday, Oct. 1, and the event will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Krispy Kreme doughnuts are available to all volunteers in the morning, and we will also have bottled water. All cleanup supplies will be provided! All volunteers automatically earn one ticket into the prize drawing. We will once again be collecting non-perishable food items to donate to a local food pantry in High Point. Each item donated will earn the donor an additional ticket into the prize drawing to possibly win a $100 Visa gift card courtesy of Blue Ridge Companies or a $50 restaurant gift card courtesy of Leggett & Platt, Inc. Big Sweep Greensboro

October 1, 2022 Each Fall, Greensboro Beautiful volunteers get litter out of our waterways, off our streets, and out of our neighborhoods! Scout troops, community organizations, faith communities, schools, businesses, and families take part in the cleanup, showing our community's concern for cleaner waterways and public areas. How it works: Get a small group of 15 or less. Select a site to clean up from our online Litter Hot Spots map or suggest a cleanup site of your own. Sign up and let us know when you plan to clean up your selected site between October 1 and 16 . Supply Giveaway Day - Saturday, October 1, 2022, 10AM - Noon. Meet at Greensboro Arboretum.   With school starting, FCS will host it's annual Back to School Campus Clean Up on August 8th from 9-12pm!! We will be doing the following: Installing new garden beds Filling beds with dirt Picking up trash Weed Eating Pulling weeds Cleaning out rooms inside school Moving desks and several more things...
