Kernersville Spring Folly-May 4

The annual Spring Folly Parking Lot Fundraiser in Kernersville is coming up on Friday, May 3 rd and Saturday, May 4 th . The fundraiser is co-organized with Main Street United Methodist Church. They allow us to use their parking lot, help with logistics, and encourage their members to volunteer. While parking is free, donations to Crisis Control Ministry of Kernersville are suggested. The fundraiser last year raised $8-$9k for us! All donations collected support the Kernersville office. The funds raised helped us assist 2,506 residents of Kernersville with emergency assistance last fiscal year. We will be implementing online donations through QR codes this year for the first time ever and hope to raise even more.   Kathy Hoffner, Director of Kernersville Office, and I would love to have NC Leadership Academy students cover one of the volunteer shifts for the parking lot fundraiser this year. Volunteers will help direct parking traffic and collect monetary donations.

HIV/AIDS walk volunteers

My name is Shannon Allen, I am the Founder/CEO of Joyful Soul Treasures, Inc. We at Joyful Soul Treasures have had the privilege, for 5 years, of hosting a HIV/AIDS Awareness Walk to increase education, reduce stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS and raise awareness of how prevalent sexually transmitted disease and infections are in our communities.   We are seeking 4 additional volunteers for our annual HIV/AIDS Awareness Walk. These volunteers would be able to choose the assignment that best fits their needs or area of expertise.  We ask that all volunteers use the eventbrite link below to register for the event, and the signup link will be sent to all volunteers who register, once all volunteer slots have been filled. We only have 4 slots remaining for anyone needing additional volunteer hours. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/ annual-hivaids-awareness-walk- tickets-797165783317?aff= ebdsshcopyurl&utm-campaign= social&utm-content= attendeeshare&utm-medium= discovery&

We work hard to build inclusion and advocacy in our community through education, activities, and programs.   We are doing a big fundraiser on Saturday, March 16 at the Embassy Suites by the Greensboro airport. The event is called OVER THE EDGE. During this event we will have volunteers rappelling off of the 7-story hotel building to raise money and awareness for the arc of high point. We also have a virtual rappel opportunity for those that are afraid of heights.   We are reaching out to see if  you  would be interested in being a sponsor for this event and the Arc. Or  if any brave souls would like to rappel or volunteer. The guidelines for rappelling  are  on the link below. I am attaching information for sponsorships as well as our Ground Party that we will have that day!   Here is the link for the event with details : https://give.overtheedge. events/ote-archighpoint24?ref= ab_3CIKT2   We are in need o
