Back to School Service opportunities

 Here are several upcoming opportunities for students!!

  1. Paint the spirit rocks for back to school.... can do both or one of them by August 8th--email Mrs. Tucker
  2. Pressure Wash the Falcon Courtyard/garden walkway before August 8th (must provide their own pressure washer)--Email Mrs. Tucker
  3. Roadway clean up- August 17th at either Phillips Park in HP or Ivey Redmon in Kernersville (signup below)

  NOTE: The service hours requirement CANNOT be waived.   ****PLEASE REFER TO PAGE 30 in the Student-Parent Handbook 2021-2022 for ALL details regarding the service hours requirements. Please make sure the activity is at a not-for-profit organization. Activities such as painting, babysitting, or mowing your grandfather's lawn will not apply. Job shadowing hours do not count. Kernersville Spring Folly-May 4

  The annual Spring Folly Parking Lot Fundraiser in Kernersville is coming up on Friday, May 3 rd and Saturday, May 4 th . The fundraiser is co-organized with Main Street United Methodist Church. They allow us to use their parking lot, help with logistics, and encourage their members to volunteer. While parking is free, donations to Crisis Control Ministry of Kernersville are suggested. The fundraiser last year raised $8-$9k for us! All donations collected support the Kernersville office. The funds raised helped us assist 2,506 residents of Kernersville with emergency assistance last fiscal year. We will be implementing online donations through QR codes this year for the first time ever and hope to raise even more.   Kathy Hoffner, Director of Kernersville Office, and I would love to have NC Leadership Academy students cover one of the volunteer shifts for the parking lot fundraiser this year. Volunteers will help direct parking traffic and collect monetary donations.
