Back-to-School Campus Cleanup

 

With school starting, FCS will host it's annual Back to School Campus Clean Up on August 8th from 9-12pm!!

We will be doing the following:

  • Installing new garden beds
  • Filling beds with dirt
  • Picking up trash
  • Weed Eating
  • Pulling weeds
  • Cleaning out rooms inside school
  • Moving desks
  • and several more things...

Please bring work gloves, lots of water and the will to Keep NCLA Beautiful!!

Also you must bring your service learning form to be signed this day, if you do not bring it then unfortunately it will not count towards your service hours! 

PARENTS WE NEED YOU TOO, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO JOIN US... Many hands make light work!!

Kernersville Spring Folly-May 4

  The annual Spring Folly Parking Lot Fundraiser in Kernersville is coming up on Friday, May 3 rd and Saturday, May 4 th . The fundraiser is co-organized with Main Street United Methodist Church. They allow us to use their parking lot, help with logistics, and encourage their members to volunteer. While parking is free, donations to Crisis Control Ministry of Kernersville are suggested. The fundraiser last year raised $8-$9k for us! All donations collected support the Kernersville office. The funds raised helped us assist 2,506 residents of Kernersville with emergency assistance last fiscal year. We will be implementing online donations through QR codes this year for the first time ever and hope to raise even more.   Kathy Hoffner, Director of Kernersville Office, and I would love to have NC Leadership Academy students cover one of the volunteer shifts for the parking lot fundraiser this year. Volunteers will help direct parking traffic and collect monetary donations.
