More garden beds needed!

 

 Our teachable garden is in need of several new raised beds to continue growth. FCS is looking for high school students (with the help of their parents) to build new raised beds. Beds will need to be 4x8 (rectangle) and 2ft tall. All beds must be completed by August 10th in order to be installed for fall planting. Students will receive 5 service hours per bed made (many DIY kits and tutorials show it takes 2-4 hours to make this size bed). Families will need to supply all building items. It is fine if it is a kit or you can build your own. There are several YouTube videos as well to help! Please do not fill beds with dirt as we will need to place them in the correct location before that happens.

Also, please note we have volunteers that will come pick up the beds if you do not have a way to deliver to school.

In order to receive credit for your bed(s) you must take a photo with the bed! Once finished email Amanda Anderson and she will direct you on where to deliver it! She or another volunteer will sign your service form once delivered!
