We would like to use a few student volunteers at the Elf Jr. plays on December 9 and 10 from 6-8pm both nights. We will divide students up to help with concessions, taking tickets and money, and ushering.
There is a local organization called Growing High Point. This non-profit uses donated land to grow food to give to seniors and refugees. They have several farms in the city including one orchard. PTFC/CCFC Youth has partnered with Keep High Point Beautiful and Kernersville Beautification to adopt Old Plank Rd in High Point and Beeson Road in Kernersville. We will be doing litter pick up at both locations on August 17th from 9-11am. If you are a parent/guardian or player in our club (or just want to help) we encourage you to use this as an opportunity to put our motto into action and "Be More Than A Player". If you have friends outside the club that need volunteer hours, they are encouraged to come help as well. We will provide gloves, bags, etc just bring yourself. Persons under the age of 18 must have a parent sign a liability waiver. Kids under the age of 15 must have parents stay with them to volunteer. Students who need volunteer hours for schools or clubs are encouraged to bring papers to be signed on the day of! Make sure to bring water and wear close-toed shoes.
