Host your own blood drive through Red Cross!

As you may know, the American Red Cross often faces a blood shortage during the holiday months.  With schools out and vacations planned, December and January are critical months for us as we try to meet the constant need for blood. The need for blood doesn’t take a holiday break and that’s why we need YOUR help! Students would need to find a location to host a drive like a local church or fire station (not the school).

We are looking for high school and college STUDENTS to coordinate their OWN blood drive in December or January to help prevent a blood shortage.  Our Leaders Save Lives Program is an opportunity for students who sponsor a blood drive during this timeframe to earn leadership experience, volunteer hours, an Amazon.com Gift Card and be entered to win a college scholarship!  Also, between December 18- January 5, we are offering an extra Holiday Leader incentive of a $100 Amazon.com gift card for all Blood Program Leaders whose blood drive makes goal.  The LSL and Holiday Leader incentives can be combined for students who host blood drives.  See attachments for more information.

Please let me know or connect me with them, so I can help find them a date for their drive and get them started with the planning process.

FYI: Here are the open dates we currently have available, if you would like to share them with any interested students:

December 23, 24, 26, 28, 30, 31

January 2, 3, 4
