Fourth of July Parade Litter Pickup--July 4

Fourth of July Parade Litter Pick Up!

Have you ever been to a parade and noticed how messy the roads are after it is all over? Town staff work hard to clean the roads after the parade. Why not do a little during the parade? Come help the Town of Kernersville clean up during the 4th of July Parade! We will have multiple Public Services Employees walking behind our orange Litter Patrol vehicle. To participate, we have a few rules:

Please print and fill out the Volunteer Waiver form provided on the volunteer sign up page, and remember to bring it with you to the parade. Volunteers may not participate without a completed form. Participants under the age of 18 need a parent or guardian for the duration of the parade who will also need to fill out the form. Please only one guardian per family (unless necessary) to accommodate as many children as possible.

All volunteers need to meet behind Kernersville Elementary School by 8:00 AM. This is the staging area and there will be no public parking. Rides will need to be coordinated between the start and end of the parade; near the Forsyth County Public Library on Harmon Ln. Once the parade begins you may not enter (or re-enter) the procession. Gloves, reflective vests and trash bags will be provided.

Tell your friends and family to look for the Orange Kubota near the end of the procession!
