Attention soccer players--volunteer opportunity!

 

Beyond Sports, the NC Fusion Foundation, is responsible for all of the volunteers for stations at the Soccer Nights Camp July 15-18th from 6:00-8:30pm (camp starts at 6:30pm) at Smith Soccer Complex. This is an AMAZING volunteer opportunity to serve the community especially for soccer players and fusion families!
 
Soccer Nights is part of our community outreach programs in partnership with Kings Cross Church and an excellent chance for players to earn service hours for school, bond with teammates or serve as a family! This camp typically has over 300 kids that will come out for FREE to participate from our local community. Volunteers work in pairs to run fun stations featuring soccer skills and games for kids 5- to 13-year-old. Each station is about 10 min long and campers will rotate through the different stations each night. Each night we need about 30 volunteers to run stations, you can commit to a single night or the entire camp. 
 
 
Monday July 15 6-8:30pm need 30 volunteers
Tuesday July 16th 6-8:30pm need 10 volunteers
Wednesday July 17th 6-8:30pm need 30 volunteers
Thursday July 18th 6-8:30pm need 30 volunteers

Kernersville Spring Folly-May 4

  The annual Spring Folly Parking Lot Fundraiser in Kernersville is coming up on Friday, May 3 rd and Saturday, May 4 th . The fundraiser is co-organized with Main Street United Methodist Church. They allow us to use their parking lot, help with logistics, and encourage their members to volunteer. While parking is free, donations to Crisis Control Ministry of Kernersville are suggested. The fundraiser last year raised $8-$9k for us! All donations collected support the Kernersville office. The funds raised helped us assist 2,506 residents of Kernersville with emergency assistance last fiscal year. We will be implementing online donations through QR codes this year for the first time ever and hope to raise even more.   Kathy Hoffner, Director of Kernersville Office, and I would love to have NC Leadership Academy students cover one of the volunteer shifts for the parking lot fundraiser this year. Volunteers will help direct parking traffic and collect monetary donations.
