Children's Home Society of NC--June 8

  Children’s Home Society of NC has volunteer opportunities at the Sunshine 5k & Family Festival this Saturday at Country Park. If you’re unable to volunteer, you’re welcome to register to run or show your support by attending the family festival and have your kids run the 100-yard dash (both free). Cassell Memorial House cleanup--June 10 and 11 at 9am

Fourth of July Parade Litter Pickup--July 4

  Fourth of July Parade Litter Pick Up!   Have you ever been to a parade and noticed how messy the roads are after it is all over? Town staff work hard to clean the roads after the parade. Why not do a little during the parade? Come help the Town of Kernersville clean up during the 4th of July Parade! We will have multiple Public Services Employees walking behind our orange Litter Patrol vehicle. To participate, we have a few rules:   Please print and fill out the Volunteer Waiver form provided on the volunteer sign up page, and remember to bring it with you to the parade. Volunteers may not participate without a completed form. Participants under the age of 18 need a parent or guardian for the duration of the parade who will also need to fill out the form. Please only one guardian per family (unless necessary) to accommodate as many children as possible.    All volunteers need to meet behind Kernersville Elementary School by 8:00 AM. Town of Kernersville Litter Cleanup--June 17-June 24

  The Public Services Department is excited to provide this great opportunity to volunteer this summer. Sign up for our June 2024 Summer Litter Pick Up!   For this event, there are 3 areas where we are focusing: Gralin St, Hopkins Rd, and Teague Ln. You can pick up your supplies (safety vest, gloves, bags, pickers) at 509 Michael St. from June 17th to June 24th. Find an area nearby that needs cleaning up, and we will come pick up the collected trash at designated spots (Pink and Yellow signs) on June 27th.   You can sign up at https://www.signupgenius.com/.../9040D45A9AB28A4F94...   Don’t forget to fill out a volunteer waiver form provided on the link. Roadway Cleanup--June 8th

PTFC/CCFC Youth has partnered with Keep High Point Beautiful and adopted Old Plank Rd in High Point! We will be cleaning up both sides of Old Plank Road in front of Phillips Park, along with the surrounding Phillips Park on June 8th from 9-11am. If you are a parent/guardian or player in our club (or just want to help) we encourage you to use this as an opportunity to put our motto into action and "Be More Than A Player". If you have friends outside the club that need volunteer hours, they are encouraged to come help as well. We will provide gloves, bags, waters, etc just bring yourself. Persons under the age of 18 must have a parent sign a liability waiver. Kids under the age of 15 must have parents stay with them to volunteer. Students who need volunteer hours for schools or clubs are encouraged to bring papers to be signed on the day of! NCLA Garden Cleanup--May 16

Need last minute service hours for your service learning credits this year?? The Garden Team needs your help in helping to pull weeds, cut back shrubs, and make our school courtyard ready for summer time. Join us after school Thursday May 16th from 3:30-5:30 to earn your hours. HS students can come directly to the elementary courtyard after school and must be picked up promptly at 5:30 in the back of school at the spirit rock. Please bring water and make sure to wear close-toed shoes that day. Garden Team Volunteers Mrs. Sledge and Mrs. Setzer will be leading this event.
